All students and parents in grades 5 through 8 are invited to attend our district's “2nd Annual Digital Literacy and Citizenship Night” hosted by the West Milford Educational Technology Committee.

5:00 - 6:00 Event registration and opportunity to visit informational showcase highlighting district and community initiatives, Apple Genius Bar, Microsoft Rep, Digital Hero Photo Booth, and more.

Macopin Cafeteria, Classrooms, Auditorium
A complimentary dinner of sandwiches and wraps will be served to all pre-registered guests. During dinner, the Educational Technology Committee will present, “Be A Digital Superhero”. This will be an informational session devoted to the process and philosophy of building good citizenship and character values and identifying the positive impact that our kids can have in our community and schools.
Parent/Student schedules will be provided at registration
You and your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on classroom experiences designed to support “at home” dialogue between parent and child in regard to responsible technology, the Internet, and social media use. We will also all come together at the end of the evening to celebrate the evening’s accomplishments and take a look at some great new features available through Common Sense Media.

Closing remarks and raffle. Through the generosity of many local organizations, we are able to raffle (11) Hewlett Packard Chromebooks for pre-registered students in attendance.
