WELCOME TO MACOPIN MIDDLE SCHOOL

Citro

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year.  I am very excited for the upcoming school year.   I am a proud product of the West Milford Public School system.   Prior to becoming the principal,  I have served as a district wide-supervisor, assistant principal, and teacher at Macopin Middle School.  I am happy to be able to give back to the town and the school district that have given so much to me.

As we kick off the new school year, I want to share my expectations.  Many of you already know that we are in our third year as a New Jersey and a National School of Character. We will continue to grow our character education program, and along those lines, you can expect your child to be held to the highest standards academically as well as socially and emotionally.  The staff and I will be working in a positive, encouraging, yet disciplined manner to help all of our students reach their full potential.  We will be striving to develop children who are successful in the classroom as well outside the classroom.  We also offer a number of extra-curricular activities in which I highly encourage our students to participate.  As we have in the past, we will continue to offer our students the chance to participate in serving those in need through our various student organizations.

I suggest that our parents get involved with their child’s experience by communicating with his or her teachers and discussing the things that took place during their day.  Our parent portal is always open so that parents can check on their student's grades, attendance, and discipline.  We have an active PTA that is always looking for volunteers.  Also, please visit our website often and refer to our Honeywell Instant alerts for important information throughout the school year.

I look forward to seeing you all this Fall.

Sincerely,

Marc Citro
